I've been keeping an eye on the conditions of the MSW, LSW, and NW by looking at the "Real-Time Monitoring" information found through the MSA website. Obviously the rivers are low right now (MSW .936 LSW .685 NW .6), but I was wondering what would be considered an ideal range for each river, and if anyone has a rough idea as to how much rain is required to bring the water up in a significant way. Thanks very much for any input, enjoying all the info here already.

I monitor those levels too Andrew, but I always forget to write them down in my fishing journal when I go fishing. I guess I usually just look at the last time I went and compare to the current level. You can go back quite a ways on those charts. I am pretty sure Tony knows what a good level for Blackville would be...

Not sure what others think but I like 0.8-1 on the NW and around 1.5-1.7 on the LSW. The LSW numbers I look at are from Lytlleton.
