Great to see the renewed interest. I'd say we all missed nsflyguy...Mark hosted a great forum...now I'd say it's our turn to carry the torch. Looking forward to it!! Two more weeks and I'll be back in good ol' NB after almost a month away, lol! Hope to see some of you at the Woodmen's Museum dinner! Gary

I'm looking forward to a slow rebuild to something that resembles what was formerly the best forum on the internet. This will never replace what Mark built nor should it.
I owe so much to him and NSFLYGUY for the things I've learned and the true friends I've met. Not that I see you guys from day to day but when I do manage to bump into you on the river it's obvious we're all drinking from the same jug of kool-aid, we're salmon huggers - the whole ragged lot of us and I consider you all true friends.
Thanks for the interest guys and I look forward to watching this place grow!
On another note, what discussion category(s) do you guys want to see added? I'd like us to keep this version simpler than the previous incarnation - I did go overboard with categories for damned near everything and looking back I realize it was cumbersome and unnecessary.

I will agree Howie, we all owe Mark a little me thinks. When I joined nsflyguy I wouldnt walk across the street to meet anyone new. Couple years later I drove clear across the province to talk to the most interesting man in the world, Mr. Gary Tanner. The visit was short but I count him in my little circle of friends. The people I met on nsflyguy I have lost count. Hopefully we can grow this into something similar where one can go for info and patterns. One thing I have learned about Mr. Howie is he will jump in with both feet so I say lets giver and see what happens. Oh, Gary really resembles the Dos Equis guy from the commercials, only older. Sorry buddy

Thanks for starting this off Howie! I miss the nsflyguy forum and don't adhere to social media as a means of organising discussions and info. Lot of good information and content went into nsflyguy and quite a community was built as many others have mentioned. I still see the need for forums as they are a different platform altogether. I believe having fewer content areas and a simpler format should hopefully drive contribution.
Anyways, glad you're doing this! Thanks again!

Welcome Kris, I do believe if I look in my room I have something for you and your friend. Lost your address when flyguy went down.

Thanks for spearheading a new forum. I rarely, if ever, contributed to nsflyguy but I was browsing the pages daily. I will try to be a better citizen on this page. thanks again.
